THREESHADES

I was going through my little huge box with jewellery when I noticed three things…

The first one is that my mother has a great taste and that the one third of my closet comes from her…vintage pieces are priceless!

The second one is that I am glad that I almost never throw stuff away, although this leads to several space problems, eventually! BUT, trends come and go, and most importantly they come again…so keeping some ethnic, statement or bold pieces of clothing or jewellery will let you add fresh and, at that time, unique details in a whole other new style.

The third thing that I noticed is my growing passion for silver and steel jewellery as well as the gold-silver-rose gold combination. I guess I was always a gold type, from earrings, necklaces and rings to bag and shoe details; that changed after my first tête-à-tête with the light grey Falabella fold over tote with the silver chain, by Stella McCartney. From then, I had a slight change of heart and started adding more filters in my everyday research.

From the thoughts I had, that silver jewellery and details add rock taste to the outfits, something that I didn’t quite want on a regular basis, I started seeing them as light, shiny, minimal details and very chic actually, with a more earthy taste than the divine gold.

I chose a white top in scuba fabric with my rings and earrings, in order to achieve a simple and straight outcome, while focusing on the details. The rings’ waves match the earrings’ and make a simple outfit interesting, while the Dyrberg/Kern rings add a slight brutal-chic touch.

If you haven’t already tried the silver-gold combination, I totally recommend that you go for it! If you are more of a romantic or  boho type, or in case you prefer smaller jewellery, I would also suggest a simple gold and silver chain combination with different lengths for the neck, with an also simple top in order to highlight them!

Your pictures are stunning! If you don’t mind me asking, what brand is your nail polish? It looks lovely.

Thank you Arianna:) I used a black SEVENTEEN polish [252] and then I had a matt finish with TOMMY G! I usually prefer ERRE DUE though, but I couldn’t find a black shade; I think the result is more steady and smooth!
