Sometimes afraid of colour; sometimes monochromatic looks simple; sometimes overwearing jewelry looks baroque chic, but sometimes cheap and hard to the eye.

It depends.

I am usually scared of too much colour, but I admire tricky texture or fabric combinations; floral with stripes, dotted with grid patterns, or even dotted with grid and stripped, dotted with stripped, animal print with dotted or stripped. Here are some of my favourite texture, fabric or colour combinations:

I decided to play a little bit with my clothes, gathered my patterns and chose the ones that fit best with my current style mood. I got a lovely top in blue and white patterns and matched it with a white-beige-grey and black stripped pair of culottes. The detail that I loved the most was the different fabric types; the top is thick and heavy, whereas the bottom is light with a satin finish!

Finally, I wore my gladiator sandals to achieve a transparent, interesting and light detail to the look with a DVF clutch bag in a blue gradience.

I would also like to try this outfit with the culotte worn higher and perhaps with high heels as well; either lace ups or a simpler design! Here are some thoughts:
