The idea of this small project came when I received the grey top from ROMWE. The silver details welcome all kinds of strings, chains, laces as well as a naked décolletage; however, I decided to use it as an accessory, highlighting the details.
This video is the result of a quick personal exercise, in order to illustrate and present my thoughts on garment details. The footage used, is part of SACAI f/w 2016/2017 uploaded by FatalefashionIII.
I have already mentioned countless times that my personal shopping tactic consists of building a sophisticated minimal base of mainly monochrome pieces, while bringing in bold ones from time to time. In that way, everyday selections tend to be quite easy, with an occasional twist, when needed! Most of the times I try to achieve it with shoes, bags, coats/jackets or accessories.
However, after receiving that top, I’ve been thinking about garments that already have that twist. Huge bows and sleeves, attached collars, embroidery, texture patchworks screaming attention without pushing accessories away.
That very shirt has also got a beautiful detail at the back, which I decided not to show here. This video is basically a collage and a mood board, hence the lack of soundtrack.
Pieces used in order of appearance.
